Devon Dotson scored 2,607 points and was the all-time leading scorer at Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dotson came into Kansas and did what few college athletes do at the Division I level, he started every single game. His freshman year, he made the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and was All-Big 12 Third Team while averaging 12.3 points per game. Dotson’s sophomore year, he led the Big 12 in scoring (18.1 PPG), steals (2.1), and FTs made (142). He scored 29 points and had a career-high 6 3-point field goals made against Iowa State. After his sophomore season, he was given awards including; the Wooden Award All-America, a Unanimous All-Big 12 First Team, and an AP Second Team All-American. Devon Dotson declared for the draft after his sophomore year and went undrafted in the 2020 draft, but was signed to a two-way deal with the Chicago and Windy City Bulls.
