Women's College Softball ROCKS!
The NCAA Women's College World Series is already underway today at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with all eight teams taking to the diamond beginning at 1pm Eastern time.
I don't know about you, but for me, watching these women pitch is on the top of my "most entertaining and unbelievable things to witness in sports" list. These young student-athletes catapult pitches into the 80-90 mph range with regularity - UNDERHANDED. You ever see Alabama ace Kelsi Dunne release her off-speed drop pitch on embarrassed opponents who end up swatting at the air, or Florida's Stephanie Brombacher's curveball fall off the table like a bowling ball? And let's not forget Oklahoma's Keilani Ricketts, who was named the 2012 Collegiate Player of the Year. She led the Sooners in pitching AND HITTING! These girls BRING IT!
The other thing I love about the Women's game is the pace - FAST. There's no holding runners all day, or endless meetings on the mound. 7 action packed innings of bunts, steals, slides, double plays, scattered hits & homers baby!!

It was hard enough playing slow-pitch when I was in my 40s. These girls are amazing. Gotta take the USF Bulls to keep peace with my daughter, but they're already one game behind. Go Bulls!
