RIGGINS-ROCKCHALK-MOHAWK

Recently I interviewed the Executive Producer & Program Director of ESPN Radio's popular Mike & Mike in the Morning program. One thing we got into that I neglected to mention on the post, was the participation of co-host Mike Golic in the hairy "Troy's Mane Event" contest featuring Troy Polamalu (USC), being presented by head & shoulders Hair Endurance (you know the one that delivers full and thick hair and took out a $1 million insurance policy on Troy's locks!).  I gotta say it's pretty darn clever, and VERY funny....and hairy.  Basically they have hil "hair" ious vintage images of former pros, and their do's (don'ts?) set up bracket style, going head-to-hairy head for your vote for the most iconic hair style of all-time.  Ultimately you can end up winning a trip to the 2011 Super Bowl.  As of now it looks like former Notre Dame grad Golic, is waiting for the outcome of this week's Brian "The Boz" Bosworth (Oklahoma) - Anthony Munoz (USC) battle, to see who'll take on Troy in the Furry Final.  A few other guys who didn't make the final "cut" were fellow fro-man Franco Harris (Penn State), John "The Diesel" Riggins (Kansas) of mohawk - fro - fame, and Tony "The Goose" Siragusa (Pitt) and his swingin' mullet, to name a few.  All of this got me to thinking......

I have all them guys beat! And maybe you do too?  Yes, back in the sexy 70's, I was rockin' my fro & lettin' it grow (Of course now, Im down with the "Bald is Beautiful" movement).  So in the spirit of the Polamalu contest & retro hair, we want to have a not so original, Original Retro Brand Vintage Hair contest of our own!

If I win, I won't get anything other than the satisfaction that having a sick fro, won me a silly contest.  I will however, enter all the contestants I out - haired, in a drawing for a FREE Original Retro Brand shirt as a consolation prize.
