Funny People love ORB

Adam Sandler loves ORB tees…he requests them for all his movies!

His latest flick is Funny People, a new Judd Apatow film  that includes funy man Sandler along with the regular Apatow crew. This shot below is of Sandler in our Kentucky Tee.

A lot of stylists request ORB tees for movies. Not only are they super comfy, but they look great on camera! It’s good to keep the actors happy, as well as getting great shots for your film. ORB tee’s are the way to go! I was in Sundance earlier this year and met a lot of stylists that are ow using our tee’s on film. Keep an eye out on the blog to see where the next one pops up!

ORB on NYC Prep

The Original Retro Brand tee’s are favored by everyone-young, old, sports fanatics and people that just like fashionable, comfy gear.  This past week we were featured on Bravo’s hit TV show “NYC Prep” which is about (and this is direct from their site) “NYC Prep chronicles the lives of a group of privileged teenagers who are key players in Manhattan’s elite high school scene.”

Whether the show is your vibe or not, one thing is certain: The Original Retro Brand tee’s are everyones vibe. Check out this screen shot of  Marci wearing our Florida State tee (RB1727 FSS).

Bread and Butter, Berlin 2009

Hey all, I just got back from the amazing Bread and Butter show in Berlin.

it was held at the Templehoff airport (a cool abandoned airport). The show was HUGE over 2.5 kilometers long with over 600 brands. There were art shows, golf carts and buses (to trek you the length of the show) and of course, Beer Gardens!

The show was a success and I made sure to take some video so you could check it out for yourself!

Monday Models-Part 1 of a series

It’s time for some Monday Funday! I know you are surfing the net and buying tee’s while you’re working….so here are some model shots to brighten up your day :)

Bringing Sexy Back

My Favorite Retro Brand Cut right now is the Dolman sleeve. Get a larger size to have it off the shoulder, or smaller to have a wide neck fit. A sexy cut that won’t leave you sucking in your gut after that Dodger Dog you just ate…

Jon and Kate plus Indiana

jon-and-kate

The firestorm that is surrounding Jon and Kate from the hit Show “Jon and Kate plus 8” has hit an all time high. This weeks US weekly magazine features Kate on the cover with allegations that she hits her children. Could America’s most infamous parents really be as bad as they are made out to seem?

Jon and Kate have rarely been seen in public together of late, and the picture above is one of the rare pictures of them together. As you can see Jon is rocking his Retro Brand Indiana Tee (RB100 IND) which got me to thinking about people’s relationships with their beloved sports teams.

From my research (not scientific, but based on boyfriends and guy friends throughout my life) men are extremely loyal to their sports teams. This loyalty and allegiance is usually born from an early age and is influenced by their father (or friends) favorite teams. This loyalty seems to stay with them for life, whether the team is winning is losing.

With the crumbling of Jon and Kate’s marriage happening before our eyes,  I started to wonder if people are more loyal to their teams than to their marriages?  More than half of all US marriages end in divorce and I wonder if team loyalty also ends in “divorce” when things are going bad? I am thinking not as there are still Cubs fans, and they haven’t won in about 90 years…

Have you ever noticed that  ones significant other will be ignored while the game is on? Has this ever happened to you? Do you think this is acceptable behavior? On the flip side-is it acceptable to interrupt someone while watching the game?

With that in mind turn on the game and relish your favorite Retro tee…it might be the best relationship you have.

Over-Time: from the nostalgic sports freak…words with Lex and Terry!

Lex Staley on Left, Terry Jaymes on right

Today we will be talking with syndicated radio stars (over 30 cities nationwide) Lex and Terry, who can be heard live Monday-Friday from Dallas, Texas on KEGL 97.1 FM from 5am-10am CST. You can also here them on channel 152 -XM satelite daily- Extreme FM, from 11am-3pmEST.

Lex and Terry have been in the entertainment industry for years, and are HUGE sports fans, and especially love all things retro. With the Stanley Cup in full swing, we checked in to get their take on a few things:

Andy: Word on the street is that you and Lex have a deep seeded hatred for the Detroit Red Wings, favored to win the Stanley Cup. Please share your thoughts if you would -

Terry: On one hand, I totally respect the Redwings. On the other hand I pray the all get syphilis from one of their euro-trash girlfriends. Otherwise, I’m a big fan.

Andy: I know you are a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Is that random, or are you a Pittsburgh man across the board, I.E. Pirates, Pens?

Lex: I will always LOVE The Steelers, but 30 years in Florida has had its effects. I am a Jags/Gators fan. I love my crappy Pirates because of so much joy they gave me as a kid. They remain my favorite baseball team. Living in Dallas twice I would have to say that in a Stars/Pens game I would have to pull for the Stars. I have been faithful to them and the Mavs since coming here the first time in 1998rb1727_gtr_blu

Either: Being that your show is broadcast in Dallas, and being that you have Steve Ott of the Stars on regularly, are you a true Stars fan, or do you suck up in fear of being beaten severely?

Terry: Steve Ott … “Otter” is on our show every week and how dare you accuse me of “sucking up.” I’ve been a Stars fan since a couple of years before they won the cup. Since moving back to Dallas I’ve been a season ticket holder every year. Otter is a total fan favorite. He’s a regular dude who just happens to have mad game. Nobody can score and tell a guy he just did their sister like this guy. He’s perfect for our show. By the way Andy, your sister say’s hi

**Andy can take sister joke in stride

Lex: We had Stars tickets for the taking when arriving in 98 and remained Stars fans for the next 8 years until we came back 3 years ago. No man, it is for real.

Either: I don’t recollect seeing the Stars donning ye olde Minnesota North Stars retro unis for any throwback games. Is this something you would like to see?

Terry: I would love the Stars to throw on the North Stars sweaters. That would be awesome. Our show is number one in a few cities in Minnesota and they still can’t get over it. It would really piss those people off. I’m sure that’s why they haven’t done it. However, I’ve seen a few guys in the locker room wearing the North Stars hat.rb800_mns_grn
Lex: NO, that team had no winning tradition until it came here. Leave it alone.

Either: I know each of you have purchased several Original Retro Brand shirts in the past. What is it about them you like so much?
