College Colors Day is almost here! Did you pledge to your school?

For those who aren't aware, College Colors Day is an annual event that takes place on the first weekend of every new College Football season. The event is simply a nationwide show of school spirit wherein fans across the country (around the world, perhaps?) don the apparel of their favorite College team in a show of pride and school spirit. Whether you paint your face and wear a jersey to work, or show up at the company board meeting in your favorite Retro Brand school t-shirt and trucker cap, the tradition of College Colors Day is always a fun way to kickoff another exciting year of football.
And speaking of exciting, our friends at the Collegiate Licensing Company have introduced a brand new component for this year. They have teamed up with ESPN.com to bring you a fun and engaging way to show your school spirit even more. Fans are encouraged to enter the online competition by registering to "Pledge Their Allegiance" to their favorite school. The contest which can be found at ESPN.com/collegecolorsday, will run throughout the remainder of August, leading up to College Colors Day on August 31, 2012. It only takes a few seconds to register, so go for it!
People who register will be eligible for a variety of awesome prizes. The institution with the most "pledges" which will be announced on College Colors Day, will be crowned "Winner of the College Colors Day Spirit Cup" and awarded $10,000 for its general scholarship fund. That is pretty cool for school!
