The "Rocky Mountain showdown" of Colorado vs. Colorado State is on the slate when College Football officially gets underway a mere 55 days from now. And while the Buffs - Rams rivalry isn't exactly The Hatfields & The McCoys, it's still reason enough to start counting down the days to kickoff!
It's also a good reason to give you our TOP TEN Bitterest College Football Rivalries. After all, it's these games that inspire the Original Retro Brand to make our vintage college t shirts in the first place.
See if you can name each rivalry on our list by it's nickname. Answers are at the bottom of the post if you get in a jam.

Uh, Carolina-Clemson, hello? There are fights. They had to call the game off for a couple years around the turn of the century due to fisticuffs. Hell, Clemson University was actually *founded* to spite USC. Definitely in the top five.
OK Miles, you've made a great case. Is there a nickname for this game?
Pretty good list. I would move Yale-Harvard down though because nobody not affiliated with those schools care about that game. Would take Kansas-Mizzou off since Kansas is usually pretty bad. Also think Notre Dame-USC for sure needs to be here. Texas-A&M maybe, LSU-Alabama looking like its going to be a good one for years to come.
Which is on the top of your list - Ga-GT?
What about GA vs FL? They have to play on neutral grounds! I would also add Purdue vs IU. Go Boilers!
Both very good choices... BTFU Lora!
